More Than a Reseller: Why TriMech is a True Engineering Solutions Partner

Sure, you can call us a reseller. As long as you know we’re so much more.

For more than 25 years, the well known brands within the TriMech Group have been trusted value-added resellers (VARs) for Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS – the 3D CAD software of choice for designers and engineers across the globe.

VARs work directly with end users, and the “value-added” promise means that software purchasers get access to expertise, training, and technical support.

Why the “Reseller” label doesn’t capture what we do

The reseller model works brilliantly; our history is rooted in it. In some ways though, the reseller label is limiting. Here are three reasons why:

1. Our technology portfolio extends far beyond traditional reselling

At TriMech, our software and hardware partners include Dassault Systèmes, SOLIDWORKS, SolidCAM, DriveWorks, Stratasys, Formlabs, One Click Metal, Artec, and Zeiss. We create flexible, scalable – even enterprise-wide – technology solutions that address your unique requirements for efficient operations and position your business for adaptability, growth, and success.

From selecting and procuring a solution to production activities on the factory floor, our experts advise, enhance, customize, integrate, and implement. We’re your end-to-end engineering partner, helping you apply and optimize technology across the entire product development lifecycle.

2. We provide practical guidance and wraparound services

Services provided by technical experts ensure you make the most of any software or hardware deployment. As a client of any of the TriMech Group companies, you have access to a global ecosystem of people and services:

3. We bring strategic, consultative value across the entire lifecycle

Across diverse industries, from the C-suite to the plant manager to the part designer, we want to know you and your business and how our tools and expertise can help you tackle challenges and improve processes.

Our experience managing projects that meet complex needs distinguishes us from being a vendor performing a transaction. When you purchase a product from TriMech, you get a consultative, strategic partner over the long term. Bring us your toughest challenges and we’ll solve them together.

Adapting to meet your needs

For 24 years, I’ve worked within the reseller channel. Throughout my last 10 years with TriMech, I’ve focused heavily on engineering data management solutions.

Over time, I’ve seen a significant shift in client needs and expectations; today’s clients are increasingly discerning and come to the table with deeper technical requirements than ever before. Our team is being selected as a partner for projects that involve complex scoping, detailed project management, and highly specialized remediation work.

We’re especially proud of our ability to adapt to client needs. As an example, we used to offer four standard data remediation and migration packages. About 18 months ago, we realized that the four preset offerings no longer matched current client requests and we adapted to a two-tiered model. Now it’s a bit like choosing either a very nice car or upgrading to the top luxury model in our lineup. You still receive tailored solutions and support; it’s just that it’s easier to understand how to best engage with us.

Simple and straightforward is always available

Talking about the example above reminds me to leave you with an important point. There will always be a segment of clients who come to us looking for that single, best tool for the job. They want simple and streamlined and need to move quickly. You should know that we’re always here for that, too.

Whatever your business size or shape, whatever problem you need to solve, we’ll meet you exactly where you are.
