TriMech/Javelin recognized as a DriveWorks Elite Reseller: here’s what that means for you

TriMech/Javelin recently became one of only three Elite DriveWorks Resellers in the world. Learn more from one of the experts behind the achievement.

Devin Martin

In April 2025, TriMech/Javelin was awarded Elite Reseller status by DriveWorks. It’s recognition that only three resellers in the world have ever received and requires accreditation in six areas – customer success, subscriptions, new business development, technical expertise, marketing, and community building.

DriveWorks helps manufacturers, big and small, automate their design processes and quickly configure, price, and quote customizable products. It’s a critical tool in the TriMech toolbox, helping business leaders and design teams digitize and automate for improved efficiency and productivity.

We talked to Devin Martin, Solutions Consultant – Design Automation, about how TriMech achieved its Elite status and what it means for clients.

How did you become a specialist in DriveWorks?

When I first came across DriveWorks, I just thought it was fun. I started spending more time using it, always digging a bit deeper. I wanted to share it with as many clients as possible, so getting our salespeople educated about the benefits became a passion project for me. Eventually, I transitioned into a dedicated DriveWorks automation role, supporting sales, marketing, our technical team, and of course, our clients.

What do you love about DriveWorks?

The power of SOLIDWORKS is exciting on its own, and DriveWorks just takes that a step further. The creative and strategic possibilities are basically limitless.

You wake up one day with an idea, and DriveWorks allows you to make it a reality. It’s fun to go on the journey with clients as they discover applications within their own environment.

Clients continually tell us that DriveWorks exceeds their expectations, and these comments come from people across different departments – marketing, sales, engineering, and management. Implementing DriveWorks can truly keep a business afloat or allow a business to grow without having to invest additional resources into scaling.

How does DriveWorks meet the moment for manufacturers right now?

If there is uncertainty in the economy or a downturn, automating using DriveWorks allows a business to perform at the same level while freeing up designers and engineers to do R&D or new design work. When the business climate improves, you’re ready with new products and can maintain your competitive advantage.

The second thing is DriveWorks’ ability to meet customer expectations for customization and personalization. We all go online to research and select the custom options we want, whether it’s a pair of shoes or a car. It makes sense for that trend to leak into industry because a manufacturer’s client wants that same experience. They don’t want to wait three weeks for a price. To meet customer expectations for response time, the manufacturer needs automated workflows.

Elite Reseller DriveWorks Award

Let’s talk about TriMech and Javelin being awarded Elite Reseller status by DriveWorks. We’ll go through each of the six areas of accreditation and talk about why each one matters to clients. The first is customer success.

Our team measures customer success in a whole bunch of ways – we know that our clients are not just using DriveWorks, they are thriving using DriveWorks. The support we provide throughout implementation and beyond allows them to optimize their use of the tool.

At DriveWorks HQ, when they consider accrediting a reseller in this area, they look at how many of our clients are expanding their use of DriveWorks over time. This tells them clients are not only satisfied, but growing.

Subscription is the next area of accreditation. Tell us about that.

We talk a lot about the value of a MyDriveWorks subscription. Subscribing ensures you get the most out of the software you purchased. You receive the latest version releases, downloads that extend the functionality, expert technical support, access to a community forum, exclusive resources, and valuable online events like DriveWorks World.

DriveWorks is continually expanding and improving the capabilities of the software, so having the latest version is important. The developers really care about the clients who use it every day. They listen to requests for enhancements, whether they come directly from clients or through resellers like us.

Subscribers get technical support through TriMech and Javelin. We have a dedicated support team just for DriveWorks.

Business development is another accreditation category. Why does that matter to your clients?

It means that we are continually looking for manufacturers who will benefit from using DriveWorks. The applications are so broad – we don’t have a narrow view of who can use DriveWorks to improve their operations.

Our DriveWorks clients manufacture shoe soles, kitchen equipment, retail displays, outdoor furniture, windows and doors, cranes, conveyers, and HVAC systems. From small-scale consumer products to heavy industrial equipment, product configuration can be powered by DriveWorks.

Accreditation in this area also shows that we work closely with clients to learn and understand their business. As a true partner, we can say, hey, have you considered these tools?

We certainly understand the importance of your team’s technical expertise, but what does it mean to be accredited in this area?

We just want to be a resource you can count on. When implementing any complex software tool, even the most user-friendly, clients need support. There are countless ways to use DriveWorks, and our team has supported clients with diverse needs. We’ll learn what your goals are and get you on the right path to success.

When you choose TriMech/Javelin as your DriveWorks provider, you know that our technical expertise is among the best in the world. To get this award, every one of our DriveWorks team members has to be a Certified DriveWorks Professional. DriveWorks actually just released a new level of certification, and we’ll achieve that as well.

We’re also proud of our close relationship with the DriveWorks HQ technical team. Our visibility allows us to influence future iterations of the software and advocate on behalf of our clients. Ongoing, two-way communication is important to us and to them.

What is the role of marketing and communications for existing and potential DriveWorks clients?

Getting the information out is really important. We have to be strong in this area so that our clients, plus the people who are thinking about investing in DriveWorks, are aware of all the ways they can learn. These could be client success stories, webinars, or in-person events.

When I think of the marketing category, I don’t just think about selling a product to prospects; I think of communicating with our existing clients about things they care about, like technical tips and product updates.

Our Marketing team also participates in DriveWorks events, which contributes to our accreditation in this area. DriveWorks HQ is always ready to collaborate with our team, and we’re among the first to hear any news that clients need to know.

Community engagement is the last of the six accreditation areas. Tell us how you foster, support, and engage with the DriveWorks community.

This category is about showing up and being present. To be recognized for community engagement, our entire DriveWorks team has to participate in events like DriveWorks World, demonstrating that we’re eager to keep learning and sharing to develop ourselves and the worldwide community of users.

We also have to be out there, where the users are. We participate in the online users’ forum and host regular online and in-person events.

There’s so much value in connecting our clients to each other, so they can learn about the different applications of DriveWorks and the high-impact success stories. We create opportunities to bring users together for education and networking, and we encourage our clients to be present in the wider community just as we are.

We’re grateful for the recognition and honored to have reached Elite status; at the same time, we’re not going to rest! Our clients expect us to continually improve.

TriMech and Javelin have invested a lot in expanding our DriveWorks team over the last few years, and we continue to grow that expertise and support for clients. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, yet in some ways, I feel like we’re just getting started!
