What’s the news?

Effective May 3, 2021, TriMech and Javelin Technologies have come together as a united team, expanding 3D design and 3D printing support for designers, engineers, manufacturers and educators across Canada and the central and eastern U.S.

As a client, you won’t see any changes to how you do day-to-day business with us. Clients of each company will continue to connect with the sales, service, training and technical specialists they are used to contacting.

Why have the two companies joined?

Together, TriMech and Javelin are stronger for our clients. The two companies have a long relationship and complement each other well.

As a client, you will benefit from an expanded team of experts in a larger suite of products and services. In addition to the people, products and services that you are used to working with, you will begin to see more specialized offerings in some key areas.

Will I have the same experience working with the integrated company as I did before?

Yes. TriMech and Javelin have come together because of our shared vision and compatibility. Each company will bring some new elements and expertise to the other, and together we will leverage our teams and culture to do even more for our clients.

TriMech continues to be led by Marcel Matte, President and CEO. Javelin’s senior management team, led by Ted Lee, will remain in place and oversee the Canadian operation, referred to as Javelin Technologies, a TriMech Company.

The two companies share expertise across every stage of product development, including mechanical and electrical design, simulation and testing, data management, technical communication and production. We are both top providers of the full suite of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software and 3DEXPERIENCE Works, as well as configure-price-quote automation, process and workflow assessment, in-person and online training and engineering and implementation services.

The combined expertise of TriMech and Javelin in additive manufacturing technologies is unmatched in North America. Each company sells and supports Stratasys 3D printers, metal 3D printers, post-processing equipment, and 3D laser scanners, and helps clients meet stringent requirements for prototypes, tooling, end-use parts and low-volume manufacturing.

Using the more than 70 3D printers in our advanced manufacturing and rapid prototyping labs, we provide valuable services to clients who need quick turnaround on quality printed parts and tools.

How will clients benefit?

• The combined company has more than 130 technical specialists who can provide deeper, more specialized support in areas such as advanced simulation, assessment and training, enterprise resource planning (ERP), product lifecycle management (PLM) and cloud-based solutions.
• Additive manufacturing expertise on our combined team, both in equipment and services, will make us a leading Stratasys partner in North America. We will introduce more shop floor and production solutions to address more manufacturing processes.
• North American companies that operate on both sides of the border will benefit from TriMech-Javelin connections.
• Our blended collection of online content is unrivaled in the industry.
• For Javelin’s Canadian clients, TriMech brings a dedicated recruitment team to help them find technical specialists to quickly fill critical engineering and related positions on their teams.
• Clients can also outsource even more, such as design and engineering and software implementation services, when they don’t have the people, time, expertise or technology to manage projects in-house.
• We plan to expand technical support hours for clients.

What is the footprint of the integrated company? Where do you operate?

TriMech has 25 locations across the central and eastern U.S., from Arkansas and Florida to Ohio and Maine.

Javelin will operate as TriMech’s Canadian business. Javelin is headquartered in Oakville, Ontario (west of Toronto). Javelin has remote specialists across Canada, along with additional offices in Vancouver, British Columbia; Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta; Winnipeg in Manitoba; and Kitchener in Ontario.

With the expanded footprint, the combined company serves almost 15,000 clients.

How should I handle invoices and payments?

Invoicing and payments will continue as usual. If changes arise in the future, you will be notified well in advance and will have a chance to ask questions.

Does this affect my subscription?

No. Your subscription will remain the same, and you’ll get the same communications about subscription benefits and renewals.

Can I still receive support on products I already purchased from either company?

Yes. With all the overlap in the software and hardware we sell and support, both companies are fully equipped to handle your most complex questions.

Will training offerings change?

In the short-term, you’ll continue to seek out training from the company you’re used to working with. In the future, we expect training offerings available to you to expand.

Will my contacts, such as my account manager or 3D printing services department, stay the same?

Yes. You will still be working with the same great people.

Will your company websites or contact information change?

Not at this time. TriMech and Javelin will each retain their unique websites and can still be reached by the same phone numbers and email addresses.
