SOLIDWORKS End Of Life Operating Systems

Will future SOLIDWORKS releases support your operating system (OS)? SOLIDWORKS recently released end of life announcements for several Windows products. We’ve compiled an OS compatibility list to help you determine your upgrade timeline.

Microsoft Windows 8.1

SOLIDWORKS 2018 will be the last release to support the Windows 8.1 operating system. SOLIDWORKS 2019 products will not install on Windows 8.1.

Microsoft Windows 8.0

SOLIDWORKS 2015 was the last release to support the Windows 8.0 operating system. SOLIDWORKS 2016 products will not install on Windows 8.0.

Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2

SOLIDWORKS 2018 will be the last release to support the Windows Server 2012 operating system. SOLIDWORKS 2019 products will not install on Windows Server 2012.

Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1

SOLIDWORKS 2017 is the last release to support the Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1 operating system. SOLIDWORKS 2018 products will not install on Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1.

Windows Server 2008

SOLIDWORKS 2014 was the last release to support the Windows Server 2008 operating system. SOLIDWORKS 2015 products will not install on Windows Server 2008.
