One of the greatest characteristics that SOLIDWORKS boasts is its flexibilitycustomizing the Command Manager is no different. Users have the capability to add or remove tabs from the Command Manager, move the location of the manager by floating or docking it to three different positions (left, right or top of the screen) and even modifying settings within the Customize Menu to fit their personal preferences.

But SOLIDWORKS doesn’t stop at customizing icon size and toolbar location. User interface customization extends all the way into shortcut menus and keyboard shortcuts, where users can make frequently used commands more easily accessible. Simply find or search for a specific category in the Keyboard Tab then type in the desired shortcut.

Not sure you liked how you set your keyboard shortcuts? You always have the option to reset to the default and use the standard SOLIDWORKS keyboard shortcuts. Download our SOLIDWORKS 2017 Hotkey Sheet to see the latest list of time-saving keyboard shortcuts by clicking the link below.
