There are many great features on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, but I am going to walk through my three favorite: Training, ease of switching apps, and managing projects.

3DEXPERIENCE Training

One of the things I love about the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is the ability to open an app and immediately go to the training section to learn more. Click on the Training link to access the 3DEXPERIENCE EDU section for the app. From there, you can watch the videos and click on various attachments within search contents and you can also download model files.

Transitioning from One App to Another

One of the other things that I like about the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is the ease to transition from one app to the other. In this case, I’ve created a model in xShape. To switch apps, press the “X” key as a shortcut to open all the different apps that I have available. If I want to go to xDesign, it will automatically open my model, and it tells me that the transition was complete. Once I am in xDesign, I can make an extrude and a cut and a shell and those kinds of things to complete my model.

Project Manager

Handling projects and keeping up with changes are two of the big things within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform that are easy to use. You can create your projects and assign them within a user-friendly interface.

It will also display what your timeline looks like, and all of this is customizable. You can look at items such as your tasks, calendars, or who is going to be doing what and when the task is expected to be complete. I’ve got all kinds of information here as far as content, attachments, and members who will be responsible for certain tasks.
